Biography: Leon
completed his PhD in 2025 through the Australian government’s research training
program via the University of Southern Queensland. His research area is cancer
patient treatment nonadherence (in relation to cancer patient information and
health professional / oncologist communication). He has published two articles
on the topic (2023, 2025) with a third (2026) under review (pre-print published
and available). The current abstract to be presented at the conference is a work
in progress and will become his 4 th article once successfully reviewed and
published. He is the holder of a master’s degree in health informatics from the
University of Tasmania. His business-to-business background in Australia
includes productivity solutions for medical professionals and relationship
management services to medical centres. For over two decades (prior to Covid
travel restrictions) Leon had been a media consultant to leading hospitals in
Singapore (patient orientation media). He has also organized medical technology
conferences in Japan, India and Singapore and an expert in sponsorship
