Speech Title: Biomarkers in the Era of Personalized Medicine: A Revolution in the Making
Biography:
My name is Folinas Konstantinos, M.D.,MSc, and I earned my Medical Degree from the University of PatrasI am a specialist in Medical Oncology since December 2023.I have received my specialty in the Oncology Department of Evaggelismos General Hospital, Athens, Greece, where I have worked from November 2018 to December 2023 as a resident and from December 2023 to November 2024 as a specialist. From December 2024 to now I am a Consultant of Medical Oncology at 251 Airforce General Hospital, Athens, Greece, specializing in genitourinary cancer therapeutics . I take part to clinical trials as a subinvestigator and I am responsible for the education of the residents in our Oncology Clinic. Driven by a commitment to patient-centric care and evidence- based medicine, I try to show empathy in everyday clinical practice because I believe we , doctors, treat patients in their entirety and not just their carcinomas. I frequently lectures on advances in personalized oncology as we head towards an era of personalized medicine in the field of oncology and I always find time to mentor medical residents.I am an article reviewer in “Cureus” and in “Forum of Clinical Oncology (FCO)” I have taken part in numerous congresses ,both virtually and in-person, both as a spectator and as a presenter, both in Greece and abroad. I am a member of HeSMO (Hellenic Society of Medical Oncology),ESMO (European Society of Medical Oncology) and ECO (European Cancer Association).
